I build tools for people who are tired of duct-taping spreadsheets together. Custom apps, owned by you, built to fit.
You talk directly to the person building your software. That's it.
You tell me what's broken, what's slow, what keeps you up at night. I listen. No jargon, no upsell — just a real conversation about your problem.
I design and build your solution from scratch. You see progress every week. If something doesn't feel right, we adjust. No change orders, no surprises.
When it's done, it's yours. Your code, your data, your servers. No vendor lock-in, no monthly ransom. I stick around for support if you need me.
Each product started as a conversation with someone who had a problem worth solving.
Case management built for family law.
Your car knows more than you think.
Point your phone. Redesign your room.
Hunt smarter. Not harder. Not colder.
Track crews, manage jobs, delight clients.
I'm Sergio Bolla — the person behind BollaLabz. I'm a software engineer based in Des Moines, Iowa. I build custom applications for small businesses and professionals who need tools that actually fit their workflow.
Before going independent, I spent years watching businesses struggle with software that was either too expensive, too generic, or too complicated. The tools people needed didn't exist, so they made do with spreadsheets, sticky notes, and workarounds.
I started BollaLabz to fix that. Every project begins with a conversation — not a sales pitch. I figure out what you actually need, build it, and hand you the keys. No subscription traps, no feature bloat, no middlemen.
"I'd rather build one tool that changes how someone works than a hundred that collect dust."
Every project starts with a flat build fee — scoped, quoted, no hourly billing. When it ships, you own the code. After that, retainers keep your software evolving with your business.
A modification to something that already exists. Move a button, update a label, adjust a layout, add a column to a report, tweak a notification. Small, scoped, usually done in hours.
New functionality that didn't exist before. A new dashboard, an export tool, a client-facing portal, email notifications, a new user role. Bigger scope, usually takes days.
Your software works. You need someone on call if something breaks.
Your business is growing. Your software should grow with it.
I'm your technical partner. Your roadmap is my roadmap.
Build fees are scoped per project. Retainers are optional — your software works without one. But when your business changes, you'll want someone who already knows the code.
Got a problem that software could solve? Tell me about it. No commitment, no pitch deck — just a conversation.
